I'm THAT girl

I'm THAT girl... that girl who needs an online dating profile to find a good guy.
I've caved and decided to see how it goes. What better time than now, right?
There have been a few interesting people. I'm planning on meeting one guy who seems super sweet and we get along great so far. Ah I'm going to feel so weird meeting up in real life (I'll be sure to bring my pepper spray just in case).
If anything it's been entertaining and is keeping my mind off of everything else.
So what if I'm THAT girl who dates online. I'm tired of being THAT girl who dates assholes...
Wish me luck! :)

Unless you have been very, very lucky, you have undoubtedly experienced events in your life that have made you cry. So unless you have been very, very lucky, you know that a good, long session of weeping can often make you feel better, even if your circumstances have not changed one bit. ~Lemony Snicket
Once again my gut feeling was right. It's over. Once again there was someone better. At this point I'm just numb. I don't know what to think. I'm SO angry...

let's have a toast for the douchebags

Ughh.. I don't even know where to begin. I feel like such a girl posting about boy problems, but I am a girl so I guess it's allowed. We've all been there.

So the boy had been MIA for over two weeks. I let the first week go since he was out of the country but after that I expected at least a text. He's been ignoring my texts and calls and at this point I feel so broken and disrespected.

I'm starting to lose count of the times this happens to me. All I want is answers. Did I do something? What's wrong with me? Why does this keep happening?

At this point I've heard "It's not you, It's me" so many times in various words that I can't help but think that it IS me. For a girl that is so guarded, I fall extremely easily. I'm really at a loss.

I wish I just knew what was going on. The worst is wondering... all day long. I can't get it off of my mind. Every time my phone vibrates my heart beats like crazy hoping it's him. I just have to keep reminding myself that everything happens for a reason. I have my friends and family to pick me up, but it always just feels like I'm missing out on something. That something would be a good guy who treats me right.

You live and you learn though. I'm starting to learn what I deserve and how I should be treated. It's been a long time coming but I'm finally realizing that I do deserve the best and it will come eventually. How many fucking frogs do I have to kiss though?!!

juice and vodka

Your life is now complete.
You're welcome..

Cause I'm proud to be an americaaaan....

Well the 4th of july was a success. It continues to be my favorite holiday. It's just the perfect summer day with sunshine, bikinis, patriotism and LOTS of alcohol. Can't go wrong with that.

My day was a blur as it should be. We managed to see fireworks for the first time in two years which was awesome.

We made friends with random people. We got serenaded and we found our new bff.

I fell off of a wall and scraped the whole back of my leg. I also broke down in the middle of the bar crying. It's safe to say I was quite the train wreck.

We walked down the street belting out "Proud to be an american" in our amazing voices.

Overall, good times with good people. Can't get any better than that.

crazy kids = fun job

One thing that I absolutely love about my job is the crazy things kids say. They have the biggest imaginations ever! Some days I wish I could be in their heads so I know exactly how they think... but since that wont happen I''ll just settle with hearing their insane (most likely made up) stories that they swear are true.

Within 10 minutes of meeting one little boy he claimed:
-he has been bit by a bat, black widow, "white widow", cobra etc.
-he fell of the empire state building and broke both arms and both legs
-he found the titanic which was covered in grass and sucked him in until his mom saved him

One boy at snack time was saying how all the 5th grade girls have a crush on him.
His friend says, "They probably just want your money. That's what happened to me."
*They act like such little adults sometimes

Two boys were telling me a story how they found a magic diamond. I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about but it included tunnels, Zeus, ivy, getting trapped, and saving the world or something like that.

Some requests for face-paint:
-An army guy with a bow and arrow fighting a dragon
-half lion, half crocodile
-ninja
-many other combinations  of animals I never knew existed

Love those crazy kids!
